Hi everyone, Well keeping the triops has encouraged me to venture into tropical fish. Always wanted a tropical tank but found the whole thing daunting with water testing etc, but having the triops has made me more adventurous and I ended up doing a lot of research. Today I set up my first tank.. its a 48l Interpret Fishbox (small I know, but its the biggest I can go for now). I plan on keeping guppies and Endlers (all male so no breeding issues)....Anyways, here's my tank, would love your thoughts...

Decided against the guppies. Going to go for Endlers and dwarf cory's, maybe some shirmp or a snail? Not sure yet, still waiting for it to finish cycling. the filter was cycled when I got it but it appears to be going through a mini cycle so fish buying is on hold

Nice little tank ![]() I love my endlers I have been breeding and selling them for a few years now, they are my pets while also supplying me with babies ![]() After a while algae may build up on the sides. I get a couple otto algae eaters or snails and they take care of it. Cory catfish also make good little cleanup fish, and they are pretty communal. I haven't tried them with my endlers yet but they should get along ok ![]() I also have shrimp in with my endlers. I used to have some cherry shrimp, bee shrimp, ghost shrimp, and a bamboo shrimp that seemed to do well. But they didn't live very long for some reason (maybe the fish were picking on them?). But now there are only a few ghost shrimp in there. |
