I'm unable to post a video link?

I tried Yootube and a link from my own hosted website and it will not work.

Any ideas?

If posting the link doesn't work you could just write out the link and we could copy+paste the link up there ^^^^^^

Okay, my idea.
Moved to Photos subforum. Plus, I'm pinning this. Someone else is sure to ask this question.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her... Dang it. I had thought that this was a way to get your video links to show up as videos right in a post. It's not... Huub, do you know how to do this?

My video links show up on this site as only a link, but using the same cut-n-paste link on this other site

http://www.urzeit-krebse.com/en/forum/73-E...l-shrimps-forum

It shows up embedded as a regular Youtube video.

Must be some setting different on this forum.

I've been having some difficulty embedding a video stored on Flickr. So far the BBCode shows a static picture and works as a link to Flickr where you then on a new tab see the video. Can't get it embedded like you can with YouTube. Oh well, it's good enough for now. However, should you know of a way to play Flickr video's in Flash player or such embedded here on the forum I'm very keen to learn

Werner, I failed with Photobucket videos similarly. YouTube worked fine and easily with the Flash button here.

I'll look into it and see what I can do. In the mean time check the format of the image/video. Some of the files on those sites are .gifs and .mp4s...not sure if I can add an embed code for .mp4, mpg, mpeg etc... But, I'll check. .gifs should work with the Image button as most of our emoticons are in .gif format.

I added a "Media" button to the reply to post section. The code should work with most media types not just flash video. You could embed music if you really wanted to. Now I just need some people to test it. Reply to this post using the "Media" button entering in the URL location example: http://www.flicker/whatevervideo.mp4 and clicking ok. I hope this works and helps you all out.
