A quick reminder on the rules

Okay, my idea.
Hey, guys! I just wanted to remind everyone that we do have forum rules which everyone must read-and-heed if they plan to post. They can be read here:

http://thetriopsforum.com/index.php?showtopic=5

Please especially note the last rule: It's important to use decent English! If you're Lithuanian ;) then that's an exception and we definitely don't expect perfect clarity, but those of us who grew up speaking the language need to take a couple extra moments to do things like add punctuation and capitalize sentences. It makes posts easier to read. When people have to work harder to read posts, that's a problem, and I've noticed this happening recently. Our young Lithuanian friend appears to have better English skills than some other members! I don't intend to point the finger at anyone; I just felt the need to remind ALL users of this rule. It makes the forum a more pleasant place for everyone!
"...Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her... Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away." --Gandhi

I have not been joking about this, guys. I've issued two official warnings.

It's hard to ignore really bad spelling and grammar. But in general, when someone makes an effort, it looks twenty times better. It doesn't have to be perfect, just readable. That last post looks pretty much fine. :)

absolutly not
Oh, possibly off topic but, layered quotes[stacking quote boxes in eachother within a singular thread or posting a quote of the previous post to start an answer to the post directly before it] are very hard to follow.
Usualy much harder than poor grammar or spelling to read and comprehend.

Hm, never bothered me. Never heard anyone else say anything about it, either.

Ok for the sake of comical argument... :D

quoting the post you are responding to if it is the post just before your response is unneeded ...
think about it your responding to a post that is right there..... do you need to see it twice on the same screen in 2 diffrent color text to make it readable?
just reading the post before the one responded to works.

and quoting over quotes usualy takes mutiple bits of whole conversations out of conteext and further compounds any misunderstanding by fogging the topic....
